Dr. Jin Wang's Biographic Information
Dr. Jin Wang is a tenured full professor of sport
science, coordinator of Coaching Education of at Kennesaw State University, in
Kennesaw, Georgia, USA. He was a former professional soccer player in China and was a successful head varsity soccer coach at a collegiate level in the U.S. Beyond his experiences as an elite athlete and coach, Dr. Wang is also a distinguished sport scientist who has published over
50 articles in the national and international prestigious refereed
journals and has made over 120 presentations at international & national conferences and congresses in the areas of soccer, sports psychology and motor learning. Dr. Wang was
a keynote/invited
speaker at the Sport Psychology Summit of the U.S. Olympic
Committee, International Congress of Soccer & Science, the
Conference of the U.S. National Soccer Coaches' Association, the Olympic Solidarity Program
of the International Olympic
Committee, and the National Conference of the Association of Applied
Sport Psychology.
Currently, Dr. Wang is a Registered Sport Psychology Consultant for the United States Olympic Committee & the Chinese Olympic Committee, Certified Sport Psychology Consultant by the Association
of Applied Sport Psychology and Research Consortium Fellow of the
American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and
Dance. Dr. Wang is an Associate Editor, Section Editor and Reviewer for
7 international and national refereed journals. As a Director and
former Director of
Sport Psychology Commission, Dr. Wang has organized the
International Sport Psychology Symposiums 6 times in Egypt, Korea,
Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, and Jamaica on behalf of the International
Council for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sport and Dance
and the Asia-Pacific Association of Exercise and Sport
Sciences.
Dr. Wang also worked with many Olympic athletes
from Europe, North America, Central America and Asia.
Currently, Dr. Wang is a senior technical and psychological
consultant for Coach Anson Dorrance, (the former U.S. National
Women's Soccer Coach) at the University of North Carolina, Chinese
Women's Soccer Team, Chinese Men's & Women's Free-Style Style
Aero-Jump Teams, and many other Chinese Professional Teams. Dr. Wang
has made significant contributions for Chinese Women's Soccer Team
and Chinese Free-Style Skiing Aero-Jump Teams to achieve the
successes at the 2006 Winter and 2008 Summer Olympic Games. In
addition, Dr. Wang received the 2005 Distinguished Scholar Award of the Southern District
(including 13 states in the U.S.) of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, in addition to many other awards.
Chinese sports newspaper, Magazine of Today's China, Overseas China
Daily, Chinese national T.V., Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times
all have reported Dr. Wang's professional activities and
achievements.
In the area of soccer coaching, Dr. Wang
integrates biomechanical and motor learning concepts to his coaching
practice to effectively teach soccer coaches and athletes at all
levels.
Wang’s Rapid Soccer Skill Training System is a proven system that brings amateurs to the
elite level in the most efficient way. As one of the international leading soccer
experts, Dr.
Wang has integrated sports science into practice to maximize athletes’ performance with a minimum time. For example, through Wang’s Rapid Soccer Skill Training System, a soccer player or coach is able to learn power-shooting and understand biomechanical principles behind shooting with five minutes of learning. Wang’s System has attracted soccer professionals from Olympic to amateur levels and his system covers every category of skill learning sequences from easy to difficult. Dr. Wang’s
book entitled: “Soccer made easy: From fundamental skills to championship play” is the most comprehensive soccer skill learning book with an easy-to-learn approach fulfilled with visual illustrations to present the key principles of soccer skill training.
